THE STORY

A garage worth revisiting

We returned to an existing clients home in Carmel to complete the final phase of their renovation - the garage.

With a beautiful new storage systems already in place, our goal was to make it fully functional, organized, and effortless for everyday life. The result was a garage that feels as polished and intentional as the rest of their home.

Building the organization into the makeover

We designed a custom storage plan to fit the client's lifestyle, combining closed cabinetry, open storage and smart systems for sports gear, tools and seasonal items. Every element was chosen to maximize the space and keep it looking clean, organized and easy to maintain.

This space needed to support ordinary family life through changing places, changing routines and plenty of miles in between.

Storage was limited, of course. But maximizing every empty inch wasn’t necessarily the answer. The family also had to stay within the RV’s overall weight restrictions, which meant belongings and organizing products alike needed to earn their place.  The goal became less about fitting more and more about deciding what would serve them best for the year ahead.

Everything needed a place. Just not too much of everything.

A kitchen on wheels still has to do everything a kitchen at home does, just within a fraction of the footprint.

We streamlined categories, made the most of the available cabinetry and pantry storage, and created clear homes for the things the family would actually use throughout the year.

But here, organization couldn’t stop at what looked good while the RV was parked.

Shelves were lined to help keep dishes, containers and everyday essentials from sliding as the RV traveled, an important detail in a space that would regularly be in motion. Products were chosen not only for how efficiently they used the cabinetry, but for how well the entire system would hold up from one destination to the next.

Because in this kitchen, everything needed a place . . . and it needed to stay there.
