LOST RUN FARM

A THOUGHTFUL MOVE. A HOME MADE FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER.

For the family behind Lost Run Farm, moving into a new home was about more than changing addresses. It was the beginning of a new chapter, and an opportunity to be thoughtful about what came with them. With The Simple Life alongside them from the edit before the move through unpacking and organization afterward, the transition became less about boxes and logistics, and more about arriving in a home that already felt considered, calm, and ready for the life ahead.

Inside Lost Run Farm

The move was only the beginning. Take a closer look at the spaces we unpacked, organized,  and thoughtfully settled for this famliy.

The Process

A smooth move starts well before moving day.

For Lost Run Farm, that meant beginning with a thoughtful edit. Before anything was packed, we worked alongside Anne and Evan to decide what truly needed to make the move with them. It gave us a cleaner starting point and meant fewer boxes, fewer decisions, and less to manage once we arrived at the new home. From there, our role shifted into Concierge Move Management, where much of the work happens quietly behind the scenes. With timelines, contractors, movers, and countless small details all in motion, we helped keep the transition organized so the family did not have to carry every piece of it themselves. Once everything arrived at Lost Run Farm, we could turn our attention to settling them in. We unpacked, found thoughtful homes for their belongings, and organized the spaces they would rely on most, always thinking about how their family would actually live there.

The goal was never simply to empty the boxes. It was to leave them with a home that already felt considered, functional, and ready for what came next.

Where Beauty Meets Function

How the family needed the kitchen to function, what we noticed during unpacking, what decisions we made, and how the finished system supports everyday life.

THE KITCHEN + PANTRY

The kitchen is often one of the first places a family needs to function after a move, which made it an early priority at Lost Run Farm.

We unpacked and organized the kitchen and pantry around everyday use, creating intuitive homes for what the family reaches for most and bringing order to a space that would immediately become part of their daily rhythm.

A beautiful kitchen is wonderful. A kitchen that makes breakfast, dinner, grocery days, and everything in between feel easier is even better.

The Primary Suite

Where every detail has a purpose

After a move, there is something especially valuable about having at least one part of the house feel settled.

In the primary suite, we focused on unpacking and creating order so Anne and Evan had a space that felt calmer and more complete while the rest of life continued around them.

Because sometimes the most meaningful organization is simply giving someone one less room to think about.

The Primary + Closet

THE PRIMARY CLOSET

From main level linen and coat closets to the lower level storage room, these areas gave us a place to create structure from the very beginning.

Rather than allowing overflow to become a future project, we organized these spaces as part of the move so there was already a plan for where things belonged.

That is one of the biggest advantages of organizing during a move. You are not trying to undo an old system. You get to begin with a better one.

The Bathroom

THE PRIMARY BATH

A calm start and finish to the day, with every detail given a place.

In the primary bathroom, we used the generous built-in storage to create simple, intuitive systems for everyday essentials. Clear drawer organizers keep daily products easy to see and reach, while labeled bins and dedicated zones give linens, backstock, and less-used items a home of their own.

The result is a space that feels just as considered behind the cabinet doors as it does when you walk in.

Thoughtful Organization, Room by Room

At Lost Run Farm, every space had a different purpose, but the approach stayed the same: create intuitive systems around the way this family actually lives. From the rooms they reach for every day to the spaces quietly working behind the scenes, each detail was considered to make home feel easier from the start.

THE MUDROOM

These are the spaces that quietly keep a busy household moving.

We unpacked and organized the mudroom and laundry room with the family’s routines in mind, creating clear homes for the things that move in and out of the house every day.

The systems may be behind the scenes, but they are the kind that make a home noticeably easier to live in.

Behind The Move

Some of the most important parts of a move happen long before the boxes are unpacked.

Lost Run Farm came together through a thoughtful collaboration with Home & Willow Design, whose team was shaping the look and feel of the home while we focused on how the family would actually move into it, use it, and live in it every day.

Working alongside Alexis and Kamryn, we were able to think through the home from both sides: beautiful design and everyday function. As the house neared completion, with contractors still finishing details and move days quickly approaching, that communication mattered even more. Everyone had their part to play, and our role was to help keep the transition moving while making sure Anne and Evan felt taken care of through it. By the time the last boxes were unpacked and the final systems were in place, Lost Run Farm felt less like a project in progress and more like home.

A thoughtful move, a beautifully designed space, and a family ready for what came next.
